Escenas Infantiles (Ultima parte)

Style, influences, works

A mix of expressive, deep and colorful interpretation of piano works from diverse Venezuelan and Latin American composers. Pieces that reveal the transformation of the music from the beginning of XX century up until now. Works that reflect our ethnicity.... mix of the rhythmical, passionate and earthy soul that comes from the African influence with the melodic, festive and sometimes melancholic spirit of the Spanish root, together with the magical, mystical character of the indigenous influence. Music that limits between classic and folk music, and many times links in a close friendship with jazz to enrich the most traditional forms and create a more contemporary original style based in our roots.
